Kindergarten & First Grade

Yoda Yoga

Monday, 3-4pm

Have fun stretching and balancing with fun child centered yoga moves. If you are so inspired check out Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back and watch Luke Skywalker become a master Jedi doing some amazing Yoda Yoga!!

 

Imagination Station

Monday, 3-4pm

All aboard the Imagination Station! This session students will be traveling on the imagination train to different planets in our Solar System. Explore a new planet each week with an activity to go along with it.

 

Art

Tuesday, 3-4pm

Each week students will study a famous artist from our past. Students will take what they have learned from these masters to create their own masterpiece!

 

Explore Mexico

Wednesday, 3-4pm

Hola, learn about Mexico. Students will focus on activities like arts & crafts and cooking to learn about this fabulous country.

 

Games Galore

Thursday, 2-3pm

Have fun playing board games, group games and if the weather permits games outside.

 

2nd & 3rd Grades

Pen Pals

Monday, 3-4:30pm

Continue writing letters to your friends at Lowell and Hawthorne. Hone up on your writing skills and have fun making friends.

Get your mind and body in sync with Paul as he teaches you Tae Kwon Do. We have the uniforms, we just need you to be ready to challenge yourself and get active.

 

Young Einsteins

Join Clarise for more science fun. Students will be doing experiments, taking field trips and exploring the world around them!

 

Write On

Wednesday, 3-4:30pm

Join Brandon, a very accomplished author from the Missoula Writing Collaborative for a creative writing experience!  Students will write poetry, works of fiction and just let that inner author shine. Students will create a unique one of a kind book for their writing.

 

Run n Fun

Wednesday, 3-4:30pm

Our own Mrs. Palin has graciously volunteered once again to get everyone in shape for the annual Riverbank Run. Join her as you train and have fun getting fit. Come prepared with running shoes and clothes for the outside, it can still be chilly in early spring!

 

Happy Feet

Thursday, 2-3:30pm

Join Jen our movement instructor as she teaches you creative and modern dance. Jen will use many different forms and techniques sure to get your body moving.

 

Art

Thursday, 2-3:30pm

Create, build, paint, sculpt have fun with Patricia in art. Sign up soon, this class fills up fast!

 

Spanish

Thursday, 2-3:30pm

Learn and have fun at the same time in this class. Learn the basics, study the culture and do some magnificent art influenced from this country.

 

Currents

Friday, 3-5pm

Love to swim? Have a suit & towel? Then let’s go to Currents each week to swim, splash and have fun in the water!

 

4th & 5th Grades

GUTS 

Monday, 3:30-5pm

This class offers girls the chance to learn about each other in a unique way. Explore important issues; develop strong, healthy relationships with peers and family members. It takes GUTS to stand up for what you believe.

 

Spanish                                              

Monday, 3:30-5pm

Hola! You already know more Spanish than you think. Come learn a little more from the language that brought us the words taco, rodeo, pronto, fiesta, matador, piñata, and

Nachoooooooo!

 

Flagship Expressions                            

Tuesday, 3:30-5pm

Patricia will encourage students to explore many different mediums in art while learning about famous artists and styles they use. This is the perfect time to let your creativity loose! 

 

Hip Hop                                               

Tuesday 3:30-5pm

I know some of you love hip hop and can dance! So sign up and learn some more moves and get your groove on! This class offers lots of cool extras!!

 

Folf                 

Dates: Tuesday April 22, 29, May 6 &13, 3:30-5:30pm

Join Perry, Scott and our Big Sky friends for some folf. We will be traveling to Blue Mountain and Pattee Canyon each week. If you have your own folf disc bring it, if not we have many to use! Folf On!            

 

Discovery Corps                          

Wednesday, 3:30-5:30pm

Flagship teams up with the Missoula Parks and Rec. Dept. for outdoor adventures like, swimming, hiking, rock climbing and rope courses. Test your strength physically and emotionally in these challenging but fun activities! This course is for serious outdoor enthusiasts with a positive attitude and a love of the outdoors.

 

Write On

Sports Fusion

Play and learn different high energy games each week. Play with friends, learn new skills and get active!

  

Boards and Blades                         

Thursday, 2:30-4:30pm

Grab your board, a helmet, and your energy! Serious boarders/skaters need only apply! We will be returning to SHEC for some more kickflips and ollies. Flagship and SHEC do NOT provide equipment or lessons for this program. Protective gear is always recommended!

 

Wildflower Gardening                               

Thursday, 2:30-4pm

Love to dig in the dirt and learn about plants? Students will participate in hands on activities at the 9th and Grant St. Preservation Area planting seeds and making our neighborhood a better place!
