*Flagship's funding is from a combination of private and public dollars from local, state and federal sources. Fundraising is a part of the funding for The Flagship Program.

The Flagship Program is administered by Western Montana Addiction Services, Inc. (Turning Point), a legal subsidiary of the Western Montana Mental Health Center- 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

The Flagship Program was developed in 1995 when The Missoula Prevention Coalition began reviewing local and statewide data on young people. The Flagship Program opened at C.S. Porter Middle School in 1996 as a result of the work of The Missoula Prevention Coalition.
