Hello! My name is Clara Meinershagen and I am the Flagship Coordinator at Lowell Elementary School. I grew up here in Missoula. After graduating from Hellgate High School, I began university in Tacoma, WA at University of Puget Sound, but was quickly drawn back to Missoula for both the fresh air, and the excellent Creative Writing program at the University of Montana. After graduating with my English degree I headed off for a stint with the Peace Corps in Kazakhstan. While working as an ESL teacher and after-school programs coordinator in a village high school I developed my interest in, and love for, working within schools. When I returned to Missoula I jumped into volunteering with the Flagship program, and have been hooked on it ever since.

I am excited to be at Lowell Elementary School working as the Flagship Coordinator. Lowell is an amazing school with a wonderful and supportive staff, and a student body that will take your breath away. I love working with the Flagship program and seeing the opportunities it provides the students, and the amazing community partnerships that have developed over the years, and the incredible work all of our volunteers do daily.
